The rise of a vibrant Christianity in the Global South is one of the most striking events of our time and should bring encouragement to Christians worldwide. However, the same area faces great challenges in terms of development and leadership. Speaking to Africans, Prof. Watson Omolokuli warns: "It is clear that to grapple successfully with the problems which plague Africa will require the enlisting of an enlightened cadre of leaders who have a high sense of integrity."

The Global South Institute for Mission, Leadership and Public Policy has been established to address this urgent need.

Its vision is "forming leaders who are rooted in the Bible and committed to transforming Church and Society with vision, excellence and integrity."

Its mission is "to be a centre of excellence which brings the Gospel to bear on Church and Society through casting a vision for, equipping and mobilizing Christian leaders in a Global South context for global Christian mission in general and for the Anglican Communion in particular."
